There is a selection of central heating systems that can be installed in properties. One of them is known as a sealed system. A sealed central heating system seals the water inside its pipework once it has been filled with its required amount. It is usually filled up by the cold water mains through a temporary connected hose that is isolated once the process is completed.

The sealed system is not under any outside pressure influences. This is known as a loop. The combination boiler is a good example of this type of sealed system, as it removes the filling hose to remove the chance of contamination from cleaning solutions being introduced into it. This is against Water Regulations and not allowed by the authorities.

There is a system which is a (vented) system requires a tank in the loft, and provides a controlling effect on the amount of water in its system as demanded. It is done with a float type valve situated in a tank which is known as a feed and expansion tank. This works by containing expanding water in a bladder, either fitted internally or externally. A Beckenham Plumber can work confidently on both types of heating systems.

Note:

The sealed system has its benefits, say, you live in a small premises where space is at a premium, this system with no tank is perfect. Beckenham Plumbers service and repair these systems on a regular basis.

Features:

Non -return valve to stop backflow of hot water back to the cold water line.
Temperature limit valve to halt dangerous rise in the operating temperature.
Pressure relief valve, opens when system pressure increases to a pressure far above the normal running pressure.
Expansion relief valve in case of operational failure of the expansion bladder or vessel.
